We would like to inform you about the changes of local laws of Northern Cyprus Property Taxes.

If your property is completed or almost completed and you will use it or rent it  here are the steps we need to follow :

If your contract has been registered and the 0.5% stamp duty fee has been paid :

  • we would need a document from your country police where you are living in which states you do not have a criminal record translated in English or with an English attachment. 500 Euros will be needed to apply to the ministry of internal affairs for the title deed permit . this may take upto 1 year.
  • After the permit is ready a 12% title deed will be paid and you will recieve your title deed. ( the fee will be from the contract price)

If your contract has not been registered :

  • We will need to register your contract to the title deed and tax Office with your original contract. 6% of the contract price will be paid to the tax Office , then 0,5% stamp duty fee will be paid and your contract will be legall ...

İskele is settled at the joint point of Famagusta-Karpasia main road and Ercan-Karpasia Main road. It is well known with its coastline in which the green dances with blue harmoniously.
The district’s name was Trikomo until 1974 and it is still termed with this name by numerous people. At 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation, Larnaca Turkish Community had immigrated from South to North and they were settled to this coastline, and from that date, the region was named as İskele.

HOW IS THE NORTHERN CYPRUS TAX SYSTEM?

The earnings of all capital companies and other corporations specified in the Corporate Tax Law are subject to Corporate Tax. Institutions whose legal centers or business centers are within the borders of the TRNC are subject to a 15% Corporate Tax on the earnings they earn both in the TRNC and in foreign countries. Foreign institutions whose legal centers and business centers are not located within the borders of TRNC are only taxed at a rate of 15% on the corporate earnings obtained from the TRNC.

Foreign transport institutions dealing with air transport are taxed at a rate of 36% over the corporate income determined by applying an average equivalent rate of 5% to their revenues, and the military transport institutions dealing with land and sea transport are taxed by applying an average equivalent rate of 10% to their revenues. The Director of the Immigration Department or, in the event of absence, a senior manager in the Ministry authorized by the Minister shall grant a Permanent Residence Permit to foreigners who have purchased a house in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and have a guaranteed income and have obtained a permit for at least six years without interruption, provided that they comply with the conditions set forth in paragraph (2) below.

He/she must possess a house suitable for residence that is currently being used for this purpose.

If the title deed of a dwelling is divided into more than one share and one of the shareholders has been issued a short-term residence permit in accordance with this paragraph, no short-term residence permit shall be granted to another shareholder for the same dwelling.
